I would like to express my gratitude to the fellow members of ABF - Loxias and Wojewoda- for creating amazing maps of components and plots showing interrelationships between 22 components.
Since the readers of my blog might be interested in visual inspecting of components , i have decided to upload them on-line.
The first batch of maps includes "the component portraits", created by Loxias:
|
West-Asian |
|
Atlantic-Mediterranean |
|
East-Siberian |
|
Amerind | |
|
Indian |
|
Indo-Iranian |
|
Indo-Tibetan |
|
Paleo-Siberian |
|
Pygmy |
|
Sub-Saharan | |
|
Near-East | |
|
North-East-European |
|
North-Siberian |
|
North-Mesolithic-European |
The second batch includes the PCA scatter plot of components, created by Wojewoda. PCA
scatter plots one PCA component vs. another PCA component of data obtained from ancestry coefficients collected for each of MDLP World22 components: the spots are
connected over time to produce a trajectory for each component.
Thank you very much for these maps, very interesting.
ReplyDeleteIs/Will there be a "East-South-Asian" map?
Yes, it will.
ReplyDeleteSome of the maps are surprising, like:
ReplyDelete1. West Asian - being found in East Siberia
2. Atlantic-Med - being found in East Siberia and Sakhalin
3. East Siberian - I would label this "Central Siberian" as it's found more there than further East
4. Amerind - that it has a local Hot Spot in Central India - could be linked to Y-DNA P, from which R and Q originate
5. Indo-Iranian - that it seems to be bi-modal, with peaks in North Pakistan/Afghan border and in the "Celtic fringe" area of Wales.
6. Sub-Saharan - that it has such a big presence in Madagascar and more particularly Australia?!
7. Near-East - that it has a small presence in NE Siberia
8. North-East-European - that it has a presence in East Siberia and Sakhalin
9. North-European-Mesolithic - that it has a minor Hot Spot in North Pakistan/Afghan border, as does Indo-Iranian - is this a link?

ReplyDeleteOnce again, thanks for your comments.
I'll try to consider your proposal in the next model of MDL dataset
I. Would love to know more on this.
